hi guys, just wondering will I be able to put some of the carton images or characters I found on a website on a T-shirt? or is it copy righted?

Chances are ANY image on the web is copyrighted UNLESS it clearly states it is royalty free...and even then sometime royalty free is only for PERSONAL use ...not for resale or commercial use. As to the particular ones you have..you should contact the web master where you found them..and ask..

charles is definitely right, stay away from using any images you find on the web unless you have written permission from the owner of the image. If you are looking for stock images that you can license for use on your shirts, there are numerous sites that sell rights to images. Purchasing outright, exclusive rights (meaning nobody else can use the image) can be very expensive (depending on the image), but sites like istockphoto.com offer reasonable prices (you can purchase an "extended license" to an image, that allows you to do a print run of a few thousand shirts, if I recall correctly, for around 60 bucks for most images).

ask the people hosting the images if they own them and see if you can use them. Sometimes you'll get lucky yet I would not mess with them unless you ave approval as per mentioned above
