I am VERY new to the t-shirt trade and have beee looking locally for used heat press since I am so strapped for cash. I actually found a used Hix 15x15 but there is a little "hole" (from what has been explained to me) it looks like in the bottom plate. (it is circled in red in the pic) I have never seen it "live" only in pictures, since I got the ad from Craigslist. They claim it works well and gets up to 425 degrees, but I am bit leary.
Is it possible to get a few opinions?
Do you think I should keep looking. Will that blemish hinder me at all?
I have put an attachment below for all to see.
Thanks so very much in advance!

it is an older press and apparently sets the temp by turning a knob on the top of the upper platen. That kind is hard to see...but.... the hole is in the bottom part and does not generate heat. You could always get a cover for the bottom and never know it is there. With a used press you need to know if it does true temperature and is the pressure even and most important...are there any cold spots..
Thanks for the reply Charles.
I am a bit paranoid about purchasing a used heat press anyways...but I think this one may be a bit too used.
I appreciate your input!
