Default How long did it take you?

How long, from the time that you started the t-shirt venture, did it take before you made your first online sale?

Well I had my designs in hand about 3 months ago
Had my shirts printed 1 month ago
Site went live 1 week ago
Sold 2 shirts 4 days ago

Things would have moved a bit quicker but there were some holdups with obtaining my NYS Sales Tax Authority.

That's really good. That didn't take long at all. Good job!

I started about 2 months ago, sold about 10 shirts, gave away about 25shirts, site will be up May 15 Luckily, I have an advantage getting into the business. 1. I already have an existing business. 2. I have a well established forum of my own to advertise. 3. I'm a self-proclaim graphic designer and web developer (not a good one though LOL). My other business took about a year to be self-sufficient though.

I started selling tote bags in November on ebay (My designs) It went crazy.. then I hit the pavement and started selling to stores and then I started selling tees. I have sold some of my Poker tees on ebay and now I am about to introduce a new line on ebay.

I started our company in 2004 and made the first sale on our live website in February 2006! Over 20,000 man-hours of work before our first sale

took me one week, although I started very small with just one design screen printed. I never had any plans of having lots of designs or even starting a company. I was just selling one design on ebay. The whole thing took off after that.

Online, did a test run on eBay, just testing the waters. Everything listed sold within the auction timelimits.
