 Class of Goods and Services
I made a reply instead of creating a new post so my original post is lost somewhere.
I am a newbie to your site and was a little overwhelmed with the abundance of posts on this issue. Although trying to pull bits and pieces out, none really fit all of my criteria so here it goes...
I have recently filed a trademark application for the name/logo of my cartoon series (filed under goods and services class #16, printed matter). I have also filed copy writes for each segment of the cartoon series.
My question is... I would like to sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats etc. that include the cartoon series and/or the cartoon name/logo on them. Do I also need to amend the trademark for the clothing, footwear and headgear goods and services class #25?
I was confused because I'm not manufacturing the t-shirts like a Hanes or Gildan but simply putting my cartoon and cartoon name on them. It seemed like a lot of companies put their logos on t-shirts and I can't imagine that they have all filed a trademark application for clothing.
Any feedback would be great.

But it does make sense for this to have its own thread topic here, since there hasn't been much discussion of trademark classes of goods on the forum.
