How can i register a name for like a clothing company. would this be opy right or trademark,man im confused. How can i check if that name is out there? Thanks

You'll want a trademark... they have different classes (assigned by number) depending on what you want to do with your intellectual property. I have two marks for my clothing company they are in the pricipal registry (this is where you want yours to end up, not the secondary, it's like a purgatory for tm's) under class "25". You can see if that class fits your needs. You need additional filings and fees for additional classes such a sunglasses etc.
