Default Newbiw - Tips on printing with Epson Inkjet

Hi all. I looking for any tips one can give me on printing to t-shirt paper on my new Epson Photo R260. I just bought the thing yesterday, along with a 5 pack of T-Shirt paper.

Everything is set up to go and I have done a test page successfully. There are a number of settings in the Epson that I would appreciate some guidance on.

Firstly, there are no options for t-shirt paper in the preferences. I have the options of - Plain Paper/Bright White Paper - Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy - Premium Photo Paper Glossy - Photo Paper Glossy - Presentation Paper Matte - Premium Photo Paper Semi-Glossy - Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster and Premium Presentation Paper Matte.

Which one would be best for T-Shirt paper?

Also. Should I use Photo Enhance option?

Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Can't answer on the paper...but if you got it from an office supply store or the like...say avery...it is okay for personal stuff. but it will not wear well, wash well and look well. You need to get commercial grade paper and use a heat press and not a home iron..

Each paper has its own properties..and I would start with plain paper setting and then if that doesnt work..try the next. If the paper has a glossy finish, I would start with glossy photo paper setting. I would not use the photo enhance to start

Thanks for the input. Well I finished my first T and I can't believe how nerve racking that was lol. I thought all sorts of disasters would ensue as soon as my iron touched the image. Image would melt all over the iron, you get the idea. Went without too much of a hiccup though.

You're right about this Avery stuff I have, it don't look like it's going to last even one wash without peeling. This was just a quick fix to test everything out. I plan on buying some decent paper and a press soon...because frankly an iron is too much hassle. The end result is pretty decent though....although I'm not sure if it's the fact I KNOW i made it that makes it look and feel like I made it. I'll let the wife decide when she gets in, before I go out in it and get laughed at.
