I just talked to AT&T, and they told me If I have a business line it is only $5 a month plus 39cents per min. to add a toll free number, I dont know about other companies as this is the only one I have talked to yet.

Thanks Bobbie. As far as I know, there are tons of companies out there, and I hear the smaller companies (not Verizon and etc.) are cheaper and better. But not sure what those other companies might be, or how reliable (secure) they are. I am also looking into a company that allows toll free numbers to be automatically forwarded to a cell number.
use the company you already use and you might be able to get the same phone number just with the 800 extension. Thats how we did our with Bellsouth/AT&T
I recommend you also research Skype and other VoIP providers. Some of them offer cheap toll free numbers and you maybe able to forward that number to a landline or moible phone through another carrier. Not 100% sure though.
Thanks guys! We use AT&T + Cingular cell phone services, and verizon business lines (i only give vendors the landline for whatever reason) and will probably go with a AT&T toll free number. Locally, it's $15 a month and 6 cents a minute without a contract, or 5 cents a minute with a 11 month contract.
hey guys i was browsing and found this it seems ok but i did not compare it to many others that popped up. it foward calls, you get 100min free each month and it's 5.9 cents after. lots of other upgrades as well.
I'm a GotVMail customer, and quite pleased with it. I can automatically forward calls anywhere, get mp3's of voicemails (Which creates a permanent record of the voicemail) etc, etc, etc.

Man, I just read over that gotvmail site. It looks pretty nice!
I can't remember the exact breakdown but I pay about $50 a month with Vonage. I have 2 lines and the 800 number that forwards to one of the lines. No complaints at all : ) I was paying more than twice as much without the toll free before I switched.
