Default Making my clothing line legal...

I have all my hoodies, shirts and hats in my garage. I am waiting on getting my tags so i can relable my product. In the mean time i am setting up a myspace and website for my clothing line. Should i trademark it now and what other things do i need to do as far as tax laws n such. I know that there are alot of people in my area that are just selling the shirts direct to local urban stores and off of there web site using pay pal, can i do that to or am i missing something.

You should go to your local chamber of commerce and ask them what you need to do to start a business.

They will give you the relevant forms and tell you what you need to do.

It will vary from city to city, but they will be able to tell you all you need.

If you are selling in your state, you will also need to talk to the state board of equalization to get a seller's permit.

You can register for a trademark at any time.
