Hi Jeremy,I live in Canada also and I was told you don't have to charge GST unless you expect your income to be over $30,000 and don't need a GST number for your business. If its over $30,000 you need it though and have to charge. If you are importing some of your products to use , you can get a business number and when you bring your products across the border you will only be charged one or the other tax. I don't know which one. I'm in the process of trying to get the business number,as I live on the border and currently I'm paying the full 14%. Hope this helps.Alice |
