 Legal questions for Canadian tshirt business!

Hello everyone, i hope this is the right forum for this question. Anyhow, I will soon be registering my company. I want to sell to little independant boutiques as well as online. Now I have some questions regarding the copyrighting and trademarking of our designs and goods. I am a total nub. in this aspect and i would like to be pointed in the right direction. I have a logo which is finished now, i believe something needs to be done with that as well as with every other design that goes to print.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?!
