Default What focus made more sales for your website?

I know I'm going to get the "every bit is as important" answer but there has got to be someone out there that found one element was more important than the others....

Which one factor did you find helped you get the sales more...

Marketing
A good website store
Good tshirt products/range
Or something else?

Going to events and not waiting on the website sales made all the difference.

Ah yes good old events, but does anyone have their best sales triggers for their website?

I think the combination of a good website, with good seo, marketing to everyone I talk to, local advertisement and carrying quality products has been what has given me good sales. I really think you will get as much out of your business that you put into it and I really believe it includes all of these things combined. When I first started my website, I thought I will just make a website and people will come buy from me but it takes so much more work than that, but the rewards are worth it.

Marketing a good website with good t-shirts works well every time

I think marketing stands out above them all. You can market a bad t-shirt and it can still sell (and possibly sell well)

But if you don't market a good t-shirt, you won't get sales.

us too! Makes me wonder why we took so long, and why we doubted doing it in the first place.

Great to hear that, Robin. Maybe tim3560 needs to hear some stories from you! Though I acknowledge that there's different cases/luck for different people.

lol. You're a trip. I would absolutely love to have a store, it's just not in my cards right now. As I have stated before, it's not that I'm against the idea. My wife and I wanted to start our business without loans. However, I have a very creative idea that I think will help us raise the capital that we need for our future. Stay tuned for the next big thing!!!

I don't know anything about your designs or your target market but there is a huge viewing audience on YouTube and a great following on Myspace as well. If you put up a promo video about your shirts and it's good, you could get thousands of viewers who might then be customers of your store. Same with MySpace videos and also if you build a following on myspace you can send your "friends" messages and updates about new info and shirt designs.
