Default Advice

I've been reading theses forums daily and have learned alot.

I'm in a certain situiation that i figured i can get advice from experienced people on these forums.
Firstly i found my company name which took a real long time, then i went and contacted screen printers and all that, and found a Athletic Store that also does shirts for people in the comunity and has contacts with many local screen printers. I want to establish my company soon but i'm stuck in a major tie-up.

My questions are should i use a source to do my clothing or should i do them myself?

If i do it myself should i use heat press plastisol transfers or screen printing ( i dont know what size)?

Whats the plastisol transfer quality compared to screen printing?

Thanks alot in advance and even though i have learned alot about this process i'd like a personal answer to my specific questions.

It depends on whether or not you want to be a printer or just a designer.

Lots of companies sell t-shirt 1000's of t-shirt designs per year and never print one t-shirt.

Other companies prefer to do everything hands on by either using heat transfers or learning the screen printing process.

You have to figure out which thing you want to do.

Do you want to buy screen printing equipment and learn how to screen print?

Do you want to print t-shirts yourself using a heat press on demand?

They are about the same (since plastisol transfers ARE screen printing)

While you are waiting for more responses to this thread, you can find more answers if you search the forums using the popular search tags feature. The plastisol transfers and versus tag have a lot of good info and comparisons that could help you make a decision.

Also check out this related thread that I found: Do it yourself or pay someone else?
