Default Please Help - steps to get started selling t-shirts online and in person

Ok so i've been looking through old topics and avoiding bothering you with the same old questions...I'm not very far along but my drive is pretty fierce.
I want to make lots of progress this week so If you could give a breif idea of what I need to do

I want to get my brandname set in stone...I searched the trademark database online and didn't find anything like it so where do i psychially go tomorrow to get this done. And once thats done do I just get to be a happy young lad and start getting my designs printed with that name on them, or do i still have more stuff to do?

Say I do get them printed, I have a place to sell them online via paypal....is that legit enough or am i missing something? Also I want to be able to sell them out of my car for say..25 bucks even....legit again?

Thank you so much you don't understand how grateful I will be for anwsers

It takes a long time to get a trademark registered, but the forms are available online at the trademark office

You don't have to wait until you have a trademark for your brand before you start getting designs printed.

If you do a forum search for PayPal, you'll see some varying opinions on this. Some people feel it's fine to start with, some people think you may want to have other payment options.

You'll have to check with your local chamber of commerce to see how to setup a business legally in your city.

Yes, it is a good idea to have your business structure in place before you start selling.

You also have to account for accepting taxes for the sales you make in your state and paying those back to the state.

If that's what your local chamber of commerce told you was necessary, then I think it's good advice. They are the ones that would know for sure.

I would talk to the official folks, not a designer

The official folks (at the chamber of commerce) will be able to tell you exactly what you need.

In some cities it's a DBA, in others it's a business license. In others you don't need a license. You may also need a reseller's permit/tax license.

The official folks will be able to tell you all that.
