I recently signed a consignment contract with an online store to distribute some of my shirts and buttons. Selling wearables is a new thing for this organization, so we decided to try it on consignment with stock I had on hand at first.

Am wondering (after the fact, of course!) if there is a typical length of time for consignment arrangements? We went for 6 months, which seemed fair at the time.

Thoughts?

The contracts that I've delt with have been as little as 1 month to as much as a year. I think 6 months is going to be good enough to show you how well your products will sell.
