Default Another question regarding copyrights and trademarks!

I know these may be no-brainers for some but I still wanna know:

1. How is it that so many well known streetwear companies are using celebrity names, and pictures (everyone from tv to movies) and not having any legal issues or being sued?

2.I have a design that incorporates a Jordan shoe. Could I use it? What if the Nike or Jordan symbol is not visible where it would normally be would this still be a big violation?

I have seen so many companies that use these and/or even use the shoe boxes.

1) They are having legal issues and being sued
2) They're legally licensing the images and names
3) As big as they may seem, they're small and going under the radar
4) They get away with it because people don't want the negative publicity
5) They're about to be sued, they just don't know it yet
6) All these reasons and more.

Of course you can. Not legally though, obviously.
