hello all i love this site its soo informative! thanks! anyway, ive got a good name and some designs for a tshirt company but im not sure how to see if the name is available or not. do i need a copyright or a trademark or what for the name of the tshirt company? whats the difference between them? thank you in advance for your help!

yeh your first step is to google US copyright . so u can get their site(they're located in D.C dowlnoad the forms and send it with the fee and a copy of your designs it should take bout 3 months for your certificate if approved

If you look on the left side and scroll down to Resources you can look up info on trademarking and copyright. To trademark your name go to United States Patent and Trademark Office Home Page and start reading. There is a lot of info there.
