How does a person find tshirts for 99cents....buying bulk??? I have not been able to print a tshirt for under $2.00.
<<<For shirts, fabrics, caps ,etc... using a pigmented ink heat transfer allows the use of very high quality white t-shirts, which cost 99 cents each (Hanes, Gildan ,etc...) Cost to make one t-shirt, using pigmented inks, under $2.00 each. Cost to use a sub transfer.... starting under $5.00 each.>>>
I have an Epson 4800 and it does a beautiful job. I do a lot of sublimation. Yes it is more expensive, but like somebody else said, When it goes out the door you don't have to worry about it. Forever Multi Dark does the dark shirts in sublimation and it can be used on 100 percent cotton.
The only problem I had with sublimation is I thought you could only do it on white. They come out really nice or I should say lights. I use soft link but I want to try microfiber because I hear they are great. Anyway about the dark. Condé Systems, Inc. - The digital imprinting specialists. sells Foever Transfer Paper. It is a paper made in Germany. As all the other papers there is different paper for what ever you are doing. Forever Multi Dark is a paper made for sublimation on dark. You print your transfer with sublimation ink on the paper. Place it on the shirt with 5 papers on top. These are regular papers just stacked and can be reused. You have to trim any part of the Forever Multi Dark that is not printed. According to what your doing it is nice to have a cutter. I have a GX-24.
a bit off the subject but everyone on this forum keeps talking about how hanes and gildan shirts cost under $1. i researched many wholesale companies and ended up paying $1.55 for white heavy gildans and$1.72 for ash heavy. I there a site or a company that you would refer me to. I am just stsrting out i live in a very small town having to order everything online b/c closest large city is about 2 hours away. I really want this business to work but fear cost of business is going to be to much for what i will be able to sell in my small town and surrounding towns. Thinking about creating a website or selling from ebay but unsure on how to start. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I don't think everyone on the site is talking about Hanes and Gildan for under $1
I don't think a .50 cent difference would price you out of your competition though.
You can learn about creating a website and selling from ebay by searching for the forums. Search for ebay and you'll find all types of threads that should help. Search in our ecommerce and site design forum to find information about building a website.
I really appreciate the info it was such a great help[ God Bless you for real WOW very informative ........Where did u get the shirts for that price .........The quality shirts
Great Post. But can someone elaborate on screen printing on transfer paper versus the printing on transfer paper. Which is better and why?
look up plastisol transfers on the forum and you'll find definitions of it and pictures. Plastisol (screen printed transfers) is better quality because it is screen printed and not done from a home printer.
