hello,

what else do i need to do to get my company legal/etc....

brief description
my company :2:37am: has been registered since 1999 in the design/build/renovation catagory and i'm an s-corp....

since i decided to start my own product lines, what else do i need to apply for?... like a retail license or something... i dont know.....

my goal in a year is to open my own store and sell my clothing/furniture/etc...

do i need any other forms of agreements/paperwork/etc so i can cover my butt in legal issues.....

not sure if i have to get another tax i.d. number or setup another company just for my clothing.... my company name is already out there and dont really want to change that...... maybe create a sub-company ......

any help would be appreciated........

I know nothing about corporation/business law, but the proliferation of multi-talented companies suggests doing it all under one company won't be a problem. Hopefully someone can offer you advice on what (if anything) you need to update to encompass your new areas.

i think i just need to figure out the money in/out setup and go from there...might have to tweek the business to an llc....not sure
