Hi,
I've sifted through the forums on this site and many others and i have a question thats more or less answered but i need a clear verification.
If i design a t-shirt that has an object from a game (i.e a sword from World of Warcraft, a gun from Quake) does it violate any law?
Does it matter if i'm from Malaysia?
Sadly, it does, if that item is unique to the game.
If you use, say, a Roman sword that was common to the Roman soldier but just happened to be featured in the movie "Gladiator", then no, you are not violating copyright.
But something that was designed by the game makers and used for the game is their intellectual property.

Agree 100%

These are actually games which are based of computer graphics that someone created, thus are copyrighted
okay, what about places in the game? ("The Barrens" if you're a WoW Fan)
am i allowed to do spoof versions of it in a statement? (i.e. "teh barrens chat)
what about game culture? (things that are being said in the game)
