Hey guys! I'm like as new as you can possibly get, and I have some questions if u don't mind.
Sometime within the next 6 months to a year I would like to start some sort of t-shirt line (with the hopes and dreams of it taking off so I can fund a ministry project I'm working on)
I would target mainly youth and possibly sponsor some local rock bands. I would want really decent quality tight fit t-shirts...not the kind of rip off brands u find at your local flea market...i hate those. lol
Would it be best to get someone else to do all of the printing, or should I look into different methods I can do myself (ie: screen printer, and the heat transfer thing)?
I have a startup investment of around $1000 (starting real small), but eventually will have between $5000-$7000 to throw into it.
To give you an idea of the type of shirts I'm wanting to make check this link out. I dont know him or anything, so im not trying to advertise, just want to give u an idea. Do you think this guy gets his printed or does his own?

Appreciate any advice!!

Welcome to the Forum! I would suggest having your shirts screen printed until you research how intricate it can be doing everything yourself. If you have money to invest - and depending on how many different designs you have / set up fees i think you could turn a profit and save yourself a few headaches by contracting them out> just my 2 cents> hope it's helpful

It really depends on what your goals / skills / priorities are. Personally, I like printing. Others would rather spend that time doing something else that they find more productive.

There's no way of telling just by looking at them, and it doesn't matter in the least. You really need to think about how you want to run a business. You can outsource or not and be successful, so which would you rather do?
