Default e-commerce sales new info help

I am looking into doing this and would like some info. I would like to just design or put out other desins to sell. I do not want to do the printing or transfers. Is it better to come up with my own design? Is there a wholesale place to buy printed t's that sell? Do I set up my own web page and promote myself? Or do I put it on Tshirtcountdown? Is there other sites that will help out? Any info would help. This is something I have been thinking about for awhile. Thanks Blake

If you decide to design your own shirts, one place to look at is printmojo.com. They will do the printing, shipping and payment processing, and all for a very reasonable price. They will also build a small online store/page for you to sell your products. If you are looking to do a few one off designs or something on a very small scale they might not be the best choice, but if not it might be worth a look.

I currently have a printmojo account and have never regretted it.

good luck

Thanks for the info. I have about five design ideas. I am looking at this as a part time job. I will look into printmojo.com today. Thanks again.

If you just want to create and sell your original designs, then a place like cafepress or spreadshirt might work for you. They print on demand, so there's little to no overhead costs.

If you want to sell popular designs, then you could buy wholesale from places like newworldsales.com. They sell officially licensed designs from movies, bands, cartoons, etc. You just have to remember that there are dozens of others sites and businesses already selling those same exact designs, so you'll need to have a unique or strong way of marketing and advertising to get customers.

Either way, you'll need to work up a marketing plan so you can have an idea of how you plan to actually get people looking at those designs. If you search the forums form marketing, you should find lots of tips.
