I guess you're looking at either DTG, screenprinting (direct or via transfer), or vinyl.

I'm not sure how DTG does with polyester (someone might be able to chime in with that), but either of the other two can do it. Best will largely come down to quantity: vinyl for a short run, screenprinting for a larger run.

Actually, in my experience, DTG printers do not do well with Polyester. I would also do Vinyl on a short run or outsource it to a screenprinter on a large run.

Direct heat is your enemy here. Most poly shirts I've tried do ok up to about 300 degrees. I use Spectra EZ-Weed vinyl with good results. If you are pressing on the thicker microfiber shirts, you should be ok at slightly higher temps. The open weave sphere shirts will give you trouble. If you go with plastisol you will want a polyester ink and a stretch additive.

Not sure about the inks either but since you have to press DTG after printing, the poly has to be heat resistant. Something like Vapor would be ok. They are made for sublimation and can withstand 350+
