I'm new in the biz and was wondering if you can heat press movie quotes and logo transfers (specifically sports teams) to tee shirts without legal issues. I also want to change a copyrighted logo - is that allowed? The logos and phrases wouldn't be an attack in any way on the movie or company represented by the logo.

Not generally (at least not without permission from the original copyright holder).

That's not really too much of a concern. The major concern is that the quotes/script is owned by someone other than yourself and usually the movie studio wants to retain the right to sell official merchandise for their films.
