Default Article: How I Did It (Under Armour Performance Clothing)

Interesting article, as Kevin Plank who started this company began with selling bootlegged t-shirts. His company is ranked second on the Inc. 500 list and will top $110 million in revenue.

Do you make the shirts in long sleeve?" My response was: "Of course we make it in long sleeve." Then I get in my car, drive to the contractor, and try to figure out how to make the shirts in long sleeve.
Classic!

It goes back to that "act as if" from boiler room. Figure out a way to make it happen!

If he said "no, we don't currently do that", he probably wouldn't be where he is today. He took some nice calculated risks and it paid off.

I also found this interesting:

Quote:
Right now there's not an athlete on our payroll that we pay $5,000 on an annual basis. Roger Clemens wears our product. He's done two photo shoots for us and appeared in advertising. Mainly, we compensate him through charities he supports.
It's a good idea - the person feels supported, and you get a tax write-off Mutually beneficial for PR.
