Are there any special packaging requirements to export tshirts or textile products in general to the United States? I have checked the federal trade comissión's website but I haven't found anything there.
Customs Duties and other taxes for importing tshirts into the USA
What taxes does one have to pay for importing into the USA tshirts from Mexico? I have found information about duties from the cbp.gov site but it doesn't mention any other taxes. I would like to know if there are other taxes or duties that must be paid in this scenario or that must be paid in general. Thanks in advance.
According to the documentation I have read nafta has eliminated quotas on textile products from mexico. However it seems that while there are no absolute quotas in place for mexico, tariff rate quotas are still in place. The commodity status report mentions the quota limits but does not mention the rate of tariff applied once the limit is surpassed. Where can I find this information and in general how does this quota system work?
Export Visa requirements for exporting tshirts to the USA from Mexico
I have been finding conflicting information about whether it is necessary an export visa to export tshirts from mexico to the usa. What is the criteria for determining if a visa is necessary. Is it country of origin or the product itself or both? Where can i look to find a definitive answer?
