Re: T-Shirt Idea - How to Know if it has been Done before
After my bengal story, you all are prob tired of hearing from me. But I do have and "ethics" question...... What about a good idea, with a bad design.
I find myself finding these gems in the rough, and turning them into something alot nicer that I might have seen prior. The design is nothing like what is saw, totally new design, and sometimes changing the words to make it a better seller. Just wondering what your thoughts are...........

To be honest, with legal "gray" area questions like this, the best place to ask the question is with a lawyer.
It's hard to say one way or another because only you know what you mean by "nothing like what you saw". To you it could be completely original. To the person with the original design that you modified, it could be a complete copy which they might want to sue you for.
This is a discussion about changing an existing design into something "new"? that was posted in the General T-Shirt Selling Discussion section of the forums.
