Default Good Uk screen/tranfer printer?

Hi,

Does anybody know of any good tranfer/screen printers and garment supliers in the uk that offer good quality at reasonable prices. I am creating a new brand for sports enthusiast leisurewear starting with t-shirts and am looking for the best quality I can get that is cost effective initially for small runs. My designs will be mostly 2 colour (solid) on both dark and light t-shirts. Any help/advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Also I was just wondering if anybody else had had there brand name registered as a trademark, or just used it unregistered with TM (UK) symbol>

Thanks

Hi There,

I use UK Leisurewear to buy tee shirts, Ralawise are OK but UKL have proved to be most dependable. Just taken delivery of Starworld shirts (you can buy direct) but I'm not impressed with this first batch.
Are you looking for a transfer printer/manufacturer or screen printer or combined? I may be able to help. I know a few printers that specialise in smaller runs
I also print sports tee shirts, it'd be interesting to know what you're doing, maybe we can get together somewhere down the line.

Whereabouts in UK are you?

Look forward to hearing from you,
Justin

Hi Thanks for your reply and the info, I'll check them out. I waiting for an order of a couple of T-shirts from European wear to look at the quality, have you used them before?

I'm just starting out with T-shirt designing and currently working on designs. I am a graphic designer and really only know a little about screen printing but not much about transfer printing so am not sure which way to go pros/cons? I am based in Northamptonshire so not too far from you.

Any help much appreciated

Hi pypetto,

Sounds like I'm in the same position as you at the moment. I am a graphic designer too and work for myself. I have been looking into t-shirt printing for a couple of months now and have started building my site and have a few designs I am nearly ready to print. I have aslo applied to UK register a trademark. First I am trying to find out through friends which t-shirt blanks they prefer so I can appeal to as many people as possible. You can purchase T-shirt samples (and buy wholesale) from Uk leisurewear, Ralawise and Continental I did try European wear but found them a little slow. Many printers will probably supply and print (a couple I have spoken to do, and then at least you don't have to worry about wastage on mistakes).

I was looking to buy unbranded T-shirts but there are very few to choose from unless you can buy big quantities (TJ Lewis was considering trying to supply these see his other post, in Wholesale I think) so I am now probably going to get them relabelled. The local T-shirt screen printer I am thinking of using thinks he can recommend someone to relabel.

Great to swap any ideas on preferred T-shirts, website, printing etc

Good luck
