It really depends on how popular your shirts are in general. You don't want the limited edition shirts to be sitting around, and at the same time you don't want them to sell out
too quickly and disappoint your loyal customers.
I'd say take a look at how many shirts you sell in a month and add 50% (to account for increased demand due to limited supply). Something around that number would probably be a good starting point.
If your monthly sales are pitifully small, you might think about waiting until you have a larger customer base before creating limited editions, just so you can anticipate at least
some demand.
