orale tees

i'm new to the business and just opened a cafepress shop. i plan to try and sell some tees to local shops and at events. i figure a local printer can print a large amount of tees at a much lower price than buying bulk from cafepress. what should i ask or look for when i approach a local printer. i plan to keep the cafepress shop and sell same type of theme tees locally but ther local tees designs will not be sold online.
