Default Can you please suggest a t-shirt supplier for my specifications? Don't know where to start

Could someone familiar with different t-shirt brands please point me in the right direction for finding a t-shirt supplier?

My target market is upscale young to middle-aged moms -- soccer mom types. I love the look of the Ed Hardy shirts, but I think they may be a little too.....thin for my target customer. I am looking for a shirt that has the look of an Ed Hardy-type girlie T, but not so thin and not cut for Junior body types.
What I'm trying to say is that I want that hip look, but in a little thicker fabric and more of a cut for moms (but moms that are in good enough shape to wear a fitted tee - haha.) I don't mind spending a little more for my shirts to get this.

Any suggestions?

I have seen people write about getting samples. Will most of the wholesalers send me a sample tee?

Also --I've also seen questions about people looking for wholesalers from a certain city. Do they need to be local? I wouldn't think that would be very important, but I keep seeing requests for that, so I'm wondering if it is. I'm in the Dallas area.

Thanks for your help!

I think Alternative Apparel and Continental would have the type of shirt you're looking for. If you have a resale # and set up a wholesale account with suppliers, they will send you samples at wholesale price.

Good luck!!!!

I have looked far and low for exactly what you are looking for. I don't think it is out there.

The Ed Hardy type t-shirts are what's called a Fashion Tee. Fashion tees are usually thin and slender cut. Two companies that make blanks almost exactly like the Ed Hardy or Affliction type tees are Bare Apparel and Alternative Apparel. But again, they are thin and slender.

I have found that Anvil and SanMar's District Threads have some very nice women's tees that have a stylish cut but are heavier fabric and fit moms well. They are not quite like the high end fashion tees but decent.

The other alternative is to have t-shirts made to your specifications if you need a fairly larger number and a price is not the major factor in getting the blanks.
