First Print Run Ever - How many T-Shirts Should I Print?
I want to print 50 t-shirts (Men and Women sizes included) of my 10 designs. Total # of shirts is 450.
I am setting up an ecommerce site and I want to start small, of course. Should I print more or less? Should I just print 5 designs and print more quantity or is having more designs at the beginning but less t-shirts better.... How many did you print in your first ever print run?
Any advice or retelling of your specific experience would be great!

Cmode,
50 shirts per design seems to be the most popular for start up companies. This allows for a better price break then a minimum run without having to go towards the 100 piece mark. Having 10 designs would be a great start to a brand launch. Far too many brands launch with just 1 or 2 designs which doesn't get them far.
Another idea would be to launch about 5 designs at first and then do another 5 design launch a little later. Then refresh your line with a few designs a month which will have your current customers coming back for more.

I would start with 8 of your best designs and 50 sounds like a good #. Depending on your target market, you might want to get more M or L than S and XL. But it all depends on who your audience is...
