Smile Starting A T Shirt Company HELP!!

I am starting a t shirt business. I will produce my own artwork/graphics for the shirts and have someone else screen print them for me. I am trying to find the cute baby tees for teenagers and adults and also t shirts, where do i find them without labels? Any suggestions? I need plain tshirts, good quality stylish tees for girls and guys, thanks!

Most blanks garments come with labels, because the info on the label is required by law. You can have them removed after you buy them, and replace them with your own label. Or you can do a private label program through any supplier for a certain minimum, where they will produce the garments with your label in them. I do know of two suppliers, JS Apparel and Bare Apparel, that produce their shirts with a side seam label instead of a neck label, so there is no removal necessary, you can just print your own label in.

Thanks! Is it legal to take their label out and add my own and sell it as my design? Like I said, I am really new to this process. Do you design your own t shirts? I am planning to use Adobe Illustrator and need to know if that is a good program to use for the shirts.

Yes, most wholesale suppliers expect this to happen. There is certain info that legally must be on the new labels that you put in the shirts. A quick summary: Corporate Name or RN #, Country of Origin, Fiber Content and Care Instructions. But you can read more detailed info on the FTC site.

Yes, Illustrator is one of the industry standard programs to use to design t-shirt graphics.

Anvil sells t-shirts with tear away tags. Also, you can just cut out the label that has the brand name in it and just replace it with your own label.
