I got 1 good T-shirt to sell, and I don't think I'll be making other t-shirt for awhile. When I got 10 T-shirts, hopeful I'll start selling them online, and eventually going out to my community college and have a stand. The reason I don't want to go and sell it in public yet is because I don't have a lot to sell. If I take the online store path, what steps do I need to be successful. Also how do I make a site that allows instant transactions with credit cards such as this

I want to use a bigcartel account the only problem is that I don't want them to know about the site, so they don't check out that site, because they might pick some other t-shirt other then mine.

It's possible to make money on only one design. Look at Tapout. Obviously, their success was based on hitting a very niche market. But they started with one design, sold them at events, and grew to what they are now.

The only way to grow and succeed is to sell. There is no shame in starting small and simple. If you have 1 product, sell 1 product. If you have 10 products, sell 10 products. If your product is good, and you can get it out to your target market, you will be fine.

You will need successful marketing. Having an online store is great, but you need people to know about it.

You will need web hosting that supports e-commerce, and a site with a shopping cart.

There are pros and cons to sites like bigcartel. If you don't want to use it, you can build your own site instead. But any path you choose in this business will involve some level of competition. So you can't be concerned about that, you have to be aggressively confident in your product.
