Default questions about getting into clothing lines

hi i have been messing around in photoshop and made some designs i thought were interesting and wanted to try making some cool t shirts.
but i have no experience in this area and i have no idea what the limits are.my photoshop design is slightly intricate and detailed. so first of all can i design shirts in photoshop? and free software recommended?
any recommended online companies for printing?
can this image be printed on a t-shirt?

thats the design not the text that i want on the shirt.

So, what are your goals? Just making some shirts for yourself and friends? Or selling them on a website or to retail stores? It'll be easier to help you if we know what you are trying to achieve.

Honestly, you are only limited by your own inexperience. But you have done well by finding this forum. Do as much reading and research as you can. Try to focus on the two basic steps, designing your artwork and getting them on a shirt.

Yes, you can design in photoshop. But you may also want to learn Adobe Illustrator, which is great for designing vector artwork. Depending on the print process you ultimately choose, you may find that vector art is required.

There are many. To narrow down your search, try to research some different print methods, such as Screenprinting, Direct to Garment and Heat Transfer.

Yes, just about anything can be printed on a shirt. It just depends on the method you want, they quality you want, etc. Read up on the different print methods, each will have its own requirements for the art and printing.

i would probly start online. retail stores would be really nice.
i would really like to just print a few designs not to cmplicated to see how the prints end up looking like, any suggestions for a good online source for this?
what print method is best for photoshop images that are detailed?

keep in mind that if you do screenprinting, printing prices increase with each color in your design...
