Unhappy Need Help pricing shirts

I just got a call from a local sign guy who is helping me get my shirt business going. He & I will work together in the begining (meaning all will go thru him) He is not looking for any profit from me. Ok so here it is the local HS is looking to put some t-shirts in there school store. One color one side shirts. I am sure that the school will mark up the shirts to resell. How do I figure the price to charge the school? What is the normal school markup for profit? I really want this business could be great for the future but I don't want to start off by shooting myself in the foot (too high or too low). Help!!

Take a look at other printers in your area and see what their prices are like. If you can afford to be a little bit cheaper, go for it. You're providing a service, don't worry about what the school is charging for the completed product - you only need to worry about what your services cost.

Also, not to be a doubter, but why is everything going through this guy? Are you sure that he's not taking your price and marking it up before he speaks with the school? Why not have him refer jobs to you and take a cut if he wants. It's your business, you should be dealing with the customer directly.

Just my .02
