Default Latest technology - ink vs vinyl

I am posting my annual question - every year I check back here to see if there has been any new break through technology of DTG printing.

Is there DTG or Ink process that is as durable as Vinyl yet?

We currently do all of our garments in Thermoflex vinyl - which all of our customers love the quality - but of course the process is very manual intensive - so i check back here annually to see if there has been any new break through technology in regards to ink and DTG printing. We have ordered samples of DTG printing in the past - but have never been completely satisfied with the quality or durability.

We also personalize motocross Jerseys with vinyl because of its ability to withstand the extreme conditions and abuse.

Just looking for some feedback about latest known / proven new technology that exists.

I don't think that's going to happen. Two totally different processes.

Vinyl is completely opaque and solid and DTG (or any other "printing" method) uses inks, which react differently with the actual garment.
