This is what I usually like to see on an About page:

How long you've been in business. Just the month and year is fine, and more details are good if you have them.

Where you are. It's the internet - people have no idea where you are unless you tell them. It's good to know, especially if you want to buy something and you're going to pay for international shipping.

A little about the founder of the business and the other staff (if any), such as names, pictures, etc. Nothing you wouldn't want your mom to read, though.

And most importantly: What you do. You might think this is entirely apparent, but sometimes it's really not. Just give a short explanation - we design t-shirts, print them and sell them on this website - is enough. If you offer other services such as custom printing, make sure to mention that as well.

Concise rather than brief. You don't want it to be too brief, but verbose is even worse (no-one will read it, and they'll be annoyed that it was even there for them to read ). Serious or humourous depends largely on what type of site you're running. I think it's better if they're (more or less) true though, even if they're funny. I know of a couple of companies that have fictional about pages, and while it's amusing/sets a tone for their website... if someone was reading the About page to get some kind of reassurance that the company is legitimate it's more likely to do the exact opposite.

I also like hear that the company is "accessible", meaning that it's easy to contact them by email, snail mail, or phone if necessary.

I know most of that should go on the contact page, but I appreciate it when companies mention "feel free to contact us" or "we want to hear from you" or something like that on the About Us page. Makes me feel better spending money

Any other thoughts or opinions out there on what should be included?

It could use a little tweaking, but it's not bad. Maybe try not to say "murder christy" so much, you could just use "we" instead.

yeah after i posted it i thought it was like alot of 'murder christy'. i might stick a pic of me in there and maybe me at the laptop, seeing as i don't do the screenprinting myself.

do u think i should make up a ficticious story about christy and her murder?
