Default 'Ribbed' T-shirts?

Still on my quest to find a good ladies' style shirt. We just tried the Anvil scoop neck ladies' shirt... it isn't bad, but the sleeves are still pretty long. The v-neck is slightly smaller and has better sleeves, but the v-neck looks really bad to us.

Anyway, I'm wondering what the '1x1 rib' and '2x1 rib' actually mean? I figured that it meant the shirt itself was ribbed in such a way that it wouldn't work very well for heat transfer, but I'm not sure - so any information about that would be appreciated =)

Here are some t-shirt styles to think about:

District Threads™ - Ladies Short Sleeve District Tee. DT200
Hanes Her Way® - Ladies Scoop Neck T-Shirt. 5680
District Threads™ - Ladies Crewneck Tee. DT204C
Alternative Apparel - AA393-Capped Sleeve Crew Tee

Here is a good page that explains the different ribbed textures:

I just printed some ladies fitted t-shirts made by Fit-T and they seem to be good ribbed fitted shirts.

I ordered a few of the ribbed shirts since it looks like (hooray for picture examples!) they should do okay. I guess I'll see in a week or so.
