Default Stencil shirt

Does anyone use the fabric paints for stenciling? Also Mylar? Best place to get It?

My guess is most people use fabric ink for their stenciling on fabric. Here are a couple of posts. the 2nd one lists ink suppliers.

using stencils with screen print paint?

The reason I asked is because they have frosted mylar (in different thicknesses) which you can trace or draw on to then be cut out with sharp tool of some kind. They also have fabric paints there as well, but I'm sure any good art supply store will have these items that I have mentioned. Good luck.

Michaels and Hobby Lobby have stencil materials. There is also a tool for cutting stencils. It is a real sharp pointed heating element that actually melts the substrate. All in all if you just go get a silk screen and use knife cut film you can do better quality work. Look into the Ulano films.
