Kerusso uses traditional screen printing for their t-shirts. I've seen some of the awards they've won for their use of different screen printing techniques

Thanks Rodney i was hoping you would say DTG, cause i have just started designing tees with Spread Shirt, and i am so limited on my designs cause most of my designs are grunge text statements. But to print it flex/flock is impossible cause as you know lines have to be a certain width.
I am left with the DTG option, i would like to know if i will be left with disgruntled customers going this route. Since its text(Mostly black or white) vibrant colours is not that important. Digital Direct seems cool.
My one and only concern is will i be getting calls from customers after a few months saying your text has faded out ?

The DTG printing at spreadshirt is good.

You could have disgruntled customers with screen printing as well No process is perfect and there's always the human factor. As long as you back up what you sell, you should have no problem.

People sell DTG printed t-shirts all the time through services like Spreadshirt, Zazzle, Printfection, CafePress, etc

Spreadshirt handles the customer service, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Generally speaking, you should be fine.

Since it's a "one off" process, it's possible that the person doing the order that day may make a mistake (back to that human factor ), which could effect the finished shirt outcome. But after a few months, it's hard to say what a person does to a t-shirt (bleach, temperatures, leaving it out in the sun, etc).

Most issues with any printing process (screen printing, DTG, heat transfers, etc) should show up within a month or less.

Thanks for your help...really clears things up for me.
yeah i am sure a big company like Spreadshirt wont use a method that will be spoiling the reputation of their company consistently.

For me really if a t shirt design can look good for at least a year without looking drastically faded out, then i will be happy. So i guess if there is no human error on that day of printing and the customer does not leave the tshirt in the sun or bleach it, and it still looks good after 12 months, then i will stick with DTG. Now if only Spreadshirt can start using this method on Hoodies too
