I am left with the DTG option, i would like to know if i will be left with disgruntled customers going this route.
The
DTG printing at spreadshirt is good.
You could have disgruntled customers with screen printing as well

No process is perfect and there's always the human factor. As long as you back up what you sell, you should have no problem.
People sell
DTG printed t-shirts all the time through services like Spreadshirt, Zazzle, Printfection, CafePress, etc

My one and only concern is will i be getting calls from customers after a few months saying your text has faded out ?
Spreadshirt handles the customer service, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Generally speaking, you should be fine.
Since it's a "one off" process, it's possible that the person doing the order that day may make a mistake (back to that human factor

), which could effect the finished shirt outcome. But after a few months, it's hard to say what a person does to a t-shirt (bleach, temperatures, leaving it out in the sun, etc).
Most issues with any printing process (screen printing,
DTG, heat transfers, etc) should show up within a month or less.
