hey guys,

I want to start getting into doing a messenger bag or two - could anyone recommend a good manufacturer of blank messenger bags? I want something stylish and basic, like the ones here on SquidFire, for instance.

Authentic Pigment do a pretty cool canvas field bag as well, which is a touch cheaper.

whoooooa Lewis where are you getting that price? ACC's preferred/case price is like $14 each! I would love it if I could get them for less.

also those AP ones are pretty nice; Alpha is listing those at just under $9.

I sell that same Anvil bag. They used to sell a lot more a few years ago, but I still get the odd order here and there. It's a pretty nice bag.

I think I might try a canvas bag next time.

Doesn't surprise me. Just another change in fashion tastes.

I am seeing less and less of the "humongous messenger bag". I think a lot of people want bags specifically built for a laptop (but stylish at the same time). I am also seeing a lot of smaller messengers. Even though it's a unisex style, it's probably mostly women who buy these - I've noticed that men tend to buy one bag and use it until it falls apart, while women will buy a new one every year at least.

Check out ella-osix.nl. I got a restyled army bag from there last year. Basically just a regular canvas messenger with a crazy original 70's fabric added to the front. I love it. You could do the same thing with screenprinting or transfers, just print the front of the bag with one of your tee designs.
