With a tax id I would go to AA directly, or TSC Apparel 2009 Collection

Without, here are a couple of sites I am aware of:

Blank Shirts - Wholesale tee shirt - American Apparel - Blank T Shirts - Organic Tee - Blank Tee - Blank Shirt - Blank Clothing | Blank Clothing - Wholesale Clothing - Printable T shirt - Ring Spun T shirt
American Apparel, wholesale american apparel t-shirts, and blank american apparel clothing at great low prices.

You get wholesale pricing...without it you are paying retail.

It also means you don't pay sales tax on your purchases. It's deferred until you sell the item and collect the tax from the buyer.

does it cost money to get? and i'm a clothing company who is now doing 1 color prints in my basement, so idk if i wanna get all into that and worry about taxes and stuff. so id rather just do without all that right now and just get AA for as cheap as i can without a id number.

Depends on what state you're in. Some states, it's free. Others charge a small fee.

So you're operating a business without worrying about taxes and stuff? Gee, I didn't realize it was optional. I wish my accountant or attorney would have told me that...

Without a federal tax ID, you're not really a clothing "company". You're just a guy printing shirts in the basement.. If I recall, I registered my business on the IRS site for FREE, and it took about 10 minutes..

How to Apply for an EIN

So you haven't created accounts with any vendors in 8 months, and you want the cheapest blanks? Good luck..

I just filled out the EIN app online, took no longer than 10 minutes from start to finish and you can even print out the confirmation letter immediately.

The county that I live in "Cook" in IL also requires that I register under the assumed name act to get a business license, the app fee for that is $50 and I have to go there in person to get it done, which isnt a big deal as I can now say I own a business.

Make sure you check any other forms you might need before you get started. Hope that helps.

PS. and im doing this for pretty close to the same reason, I want to try American Aparel and I cant get my hands on them without that precious number.
