What happened with the 2 I gave you? And how come you haven't gotten your resale license yet?
does it cost money to get? and i'm a clothing company who is now doing 1 color prints in my basement, so idk if i wanna get all into that and worry about taxes and stuff. so id rather just do without all that right now and just get AA for as cheap as i can without a id number.
Depends on what state you're in. Some states, it's free. Others charge a small fee.

So you're operating a business without worrying about taxes and stuff? Gee, I didn't realize it was optional. I wish my accountant or attorney would have told me that...
Without a federal tax ID, you're not really a clothing "company". You're just a guy printing shirts in the basement.. If I recall, I registered my business on the IRS site for FREE, and it took about 10 minutes..
I just filled out the EIN app online, took no longer than 10 minutes from start to finish and you can even print out the confirmation letter immediately.
The county that I live in "Cook" in IL also requires that I register under the assumed name act to get a business license, the app fee for that is $50 and I have to go there in person to get it done, which isnt a big deal as I can now say I own a business.
Make sure you check any other forms you might need before you get started. Hope that helps.
PS. and im doing this for pretty close to the same reason, I want to try American Aparel and I cant get my hands on them without that precious number.
