Unhappy Why is it so hard to find good blank T-shirts (for me) ?

This is actually just another "where to find good blanks"-thread. But I really don't get it:

On the streets and in almost every entry of shirt-blogs you see t-shirts with that have apparently a - I would say - "normal" cut.
Just like here p.e. : Shirtspotting – der T-Shirt-Blog

So why do my samples always look like small tents? They're always too wide at the bottom or have a strange looking collar.

I just wanna have a normal blank t-shirt like the ones everyone wears! Is it really so hard to find them?

Why don't you tell us what brands you have tried that you don't like so we can help narrow it down for you.

I've tried Fruit of the Loom, Hanes and I think B&C. Also some others, but I'm not at home right now to look it up.

I just wanna have something similar to these kind of shirts:
http://www.frontlineshop.com/SID=sif...=128&filter_id[]=179&filter_value[]=m1200&ClassName=Filter&clear=1

The thing is, I know that there are a lot of different styles with minor or major differences. But the samples I've ordered before, didn't even get close to a "normal" cut. And since there are so many shirts with a normal cut in various onlineshops, it's hard for me to understand why I have such a hard time to find such kind of blanks.

take a look at all the different brands there are... (TSC Apparel 2009 Collection ) . take a brand and search it on the forum and you'll more than likely find a review of it.

also, search the forum for reviews of different t-shirt brands. i did a quick search and found this.. http://www.t-shirtforums.com/wholesa...ts/t25930.html

it definitely takes time to find the right t-shirt quality/price for your brand/age/demographic target. good luck.

You can't always look at a mock up and assume that is the same shirt you will get when you order.

Your link showed a number of different shirts, all mock ups. So unless you have actually ordered one, don't count on the picture to be accurate.

Have you tried American Apparel? They are a more fashion fit.

thanks for the links. honestly, I did a search in this forum, but just didn't find that thread.

I've ordered several shirts of the site I posted. They may differ a bit from the picture but in general they have a good cut. Still, thanks for the quick answers. With that I now where I can start

Yeah you really have to try out different brands. They all vary.

If you are looking for something that is more fitted and not "tent like" try alternative apparel. Their items are fitted and super soft. I use them and print with a water based ink so I get a fitted vintage soft shirt.

Again, thanks for the links.
Yes I am from Europe, that's why a lot of the brands mentioned in this forum are not affordable for me because of the shipping costs.
I think I'm gonna give American Apparel a shot, because they ship from Germany, as well.

I have to agree with you marcmarcmarc. I wish i could find some quality 6oz, ringspun shirts. Ive tried hanes beefytees but they loose all shape. I love the Jerzeeszt, but not only does tscapparel no longer carry them, but ive exausted the few colors that were availible. at this point my options appear to be with the 1701, which is a lighter shirt. the only thing bothers me about these 1701's is the collar size. if anyone is familar with a 6oz (or 5.5oz) ringspun shirt other than the ones mentioned, that has a regular size colar, please let me know. if not, 1701's here i come.

I am having the same issues.
All the t-shirts I have ordered are all boxy shapes and the women's tees are all terribly finished off.

I usually use American Apparel, which have great fits and finishes but the prices are too high.

Can anyone suggest any brands on a par with American Apparel but a little less pricey?!

Thanks.

Try Continental Clothing. They are an international company and carry the less boxy style t-shirts that you're looking for.
