Default Looking for sublimation blanks NOT Vapor or Hanes Soft link

Would appreciate any suggestions on places to buy sublimatable blanks...poly blend (no cotton) etc that are not Vapor or Hanes. Looking for fashion cuts similar to AA, Alternative etc. Have had no luck

Thanks in advance.

Next Level Apparel has a nice 65/35 blend that sublimates nicely. Burnouts also work well with sublimation. Just depends on your design needs.

kidsblanks.com have a new range of child and adult sizes. They are so new they're not on the website yet but the phone number is one the website. 65% polyester/35% cotton. Like AA shape. Nice shape and good quality.

From everything i have read if it is not 100% polyester the 35% will wash off after a few washing is this not true?

Hi,
With sublimation inks, the higher the polyester content, the brighter the colours and the less they fade. When you print onto 35% cotton/65% polyester, the polyester holds the colour and the colour on the cotton fades away so you get a less bright effect than 100% polyester. The colour is still bright however and holds 100% on the polyester. Whether this suits you and your customers depends on what end result you want. Our customers typically don't like 100% polyester and the finish on the Vapor Ts , for example. They like a soft finish and are happy with the colour quality on the mix fabric.
Hope this helps

Thanks.
I would love to see a before and after a few washings photos of how much is lost in the 35% part of the shirt.

I would also love to see a lot of full color Sublimation T Shirt designs.
Do you know of any websites that show a lot of full color Sub designs so i can get a good feel of what can be done with Sublimation.

Thanks

Hi Eddie,
I was going to send some pics of T-shirts on 35/65 Ts before and after washing but the difference between them is so slight that it doesn't really show up on the photos. This in itself tells you the amount of fade ie not very much. If you want to see lots of dye sub Ts try looking at some of the websites of the guys on this site as they are the experts.

Hello I am new to the forum, I have some questions on T shirt qualities, I am planning to start my business in my area with other items than T shirts but it is the shirts I feel I fear the most, I have heard all ranges on the type of fabric, my plan was to use 50/50 shirts with ArTitainium ink and the translite paper , is this a quality idea or should i rethink my process

Hi Beth,
We don't use a normal sublimation process so I can't comment on the inks and papers but I know about the T-shirts and the fabrics. The fabric you choose depends on the finish you want. 50/50 will give you a paler image after washing than 100% polyester. 35% cotton / 65% polyester will give you a paler image after washing than 100% poly but better than 50/50. The decision is also affected by whether you like the feel of the different fabrics. We never use Vapor Ts, for example, because we don't like the feel. Price is obviously a consideration too. Finally the shape is an issue. There is not a big choice for sublimation - mostly crew neck, short sleeves, unless you go for Vapor which you can get in different shapes - but they are quite expensive.
We use Paint Me Ts from Kidsblanks.com. 35% 65% in a good modern shape. You can also get baby items from them.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that comparison I have located a company that seems to have really great prices for shirts they have 100% cotton 50/50 and 100% poly and others in between, I think some of you would be really interested in their products , My Aunt hooked me up with them as they use them for there rescue shirts for their program,
anyways..
under their 100% cotton they have 158 different styles - 36 styles for 50/50 - and 67 different styles for 100% polyester and this is just under the Tee shirts, they also carry fleece, outterware, headware, polos, wovens , and accesorries and carry these brands
UltraClubAdidasTommy HilfigerGildanGildan Tie-DyesJerzeesAnvilHanesFruit of the LoomBellaCanvasBadgerAloChouinardUnion MadeBaysidechromaZone by Anvil
Im listing this info because I know there are so many on here with different needs from Cotton to Poly and probally everything in between, but what i can tell you for price and shipping is for a Gildan Adult Ultra cotton100% the approx cost is $ 1.86 with the shipping fees, they kinda have a funny shipping deal (not bad just hard to explain) but I will let that for you all to find out as I dont want to misquote, Im just going off the cost I was told for what I needed (108pcs.) ....Fruit of the Loom Adult BestTM Tshirt 50/50 $ 1.81 with shipping and Jerzees Adult MOVETM Moisture-Management T-Shirt 100& polyester is $ 4.71 with shipping, now these are the prices based on like I said what I was looking for they have all sizes shapes designs.
If these cost and products are something you are interested in please contact me personally until I know these products are valid quality I do not want to post a name so someone does not mistake what I say as the perfect garmet, I have just researched and looked and looked and they seem to be the best by far for cost but I have yet to have my own hands on the product for testing, may sound silly but I hate giving false info. Thanks all have a great day !

Cryman,
I think The Transfer Press and/or Magic Touch, stock VaporTs in the UK. They cost but you can get them. If you are doing sublimation Xpres has special ts with polyester on the outside, which take the ink very well but are heavy to wear.
