Does any1 know where to find a good deal on a bulk of plain t-shirts. black or white or any other color. I'm tryin to make a mass amount of printed t-shirts.
Also, what quantities would you consider "bulk"? At some point (maybe 10,000+), it might be cheaper getting them mass produced or sourced directly from the manufacturer.
I've used Broder Bros for over 10 years. They have good customer service and great prices plus lots of distribution centers scattered across the country so you wont have to wait more than a couple of days for delivery.
I am considering opening an account with Broder Bros or with SanMar, but before I go through and give them all my personal and credit info. I'd like to know who has the better pricing.
I would be buying relatively small quantities (60-100, different sizes) of colored 50/50 Hanes t-shirts.
The pricing for the different wholesalers like BroderBros/SanMar is pretty competitive. Probably within a few cents of each other.
Different wholesalers have specials at different times, so it can be worth it to signup for accounts at both places. It's really not that big of an ordeal to signup.
Thanks Rodney.
The thing is, I'm asking in terms of how much for a shirt.
I live in Puerto Rico, and sadly there is only one place in the whole island where we can get our wholesale shirts (and they ONLY carry basic colored 50/50 Hanes, FOL and Gildan).
But since that's what I'm using for now, I want to know if I get a better deal buying from a wholesaler in the USA or buying right here.
Here, they usually charge $3.94 per adult shirt (black Hanes 50/50)
How does SanMar and Broder's pricing compare?
Its probably more expensive to buy from these wholesalers due to the shipping. That's why I just want to have an idea if it's worth it.

Ahh, I gotcha now. I see what you're saying. Hopefully if a member has both those pricing lists in front of them, they'll be able to post.
In general, wholesalers prefer not to have their pricing posted in "public" because the prices are for wholesalers and not general consumers, but I think it'll be OK for a sample pricing to be posted so you can get a general idea of whether you should be pursuing the US Distributor route or getting them locally.
If that doesn't work (if nobody posts), you might be able to get the example pricing by opening up a dialog (via email or phone) with one of the distributors like SanMar, SSActivewear,Broder to see if their prices with shipping will compete with your local pricing.
SanMar has their wholesale Pricelists (PDFs) posted on their site under the Marketing Tools section. Price for the Hanes 50/50 (black color) is:
Case: 1.88 Dozen: 2.11 Piece: 2.41
So even the piece pricing seems to be $1.50 lower than your local pricing. Sometimes the different distributors have shipping deals as well (although I don't know if they would apply to shipments to PR).
I have learned that some manufacturers in China supply the T=Shirt(printed) priced at $1.1 per piece,I don't know if the T-Shirt you need can be sourced in China(maybe BroderBros/SanMar etc.wholesalers buying also from China, very possible,I think)
Happy new year!

I think Jones has some really good blank black t-shirts. They have tons of other colors but they have black and white. White is the a lot cheaper then all of the other colors.
