Default Quality of Gildan Softstyle 64000/64000L T-Shirts

Hi! I am totally new to this forum. I have learned so much on here in the last two weeks, and am so impressed with this site. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with Gilden Softstyle T-shirts? I love American Apparel shirts, and own several myself, but I read on a thread that the softstyles look and feel like an "undershirt?" Are they that bad? I like regular Gildans myself. They are quite durable, but the supersoft kind of appeal to me. But I sure don't want to order a bunch if they look and feel cheap. Any input would be helpful.

Personally I prefer Gildan products and have mostly requests for Gildan. Haven't had the need to buy Hanes so I can't say anything about their products. Fruit of the loom I wouldn't buy if my customers didn't request it because I'm not happy with the quality of the products I've recieved in the past (holes, loose threads, extra threads, creases where creases shouldn't be and lack of centre crease where I prefer there to be one).

I used the Gildan softstyle t-shirts for a line I did a month ago...I really like this shirt...the white is see thru but the darker colors are nice...light , soft , comfy...thin collar...really nice shirt.

I have used the Gildan 5000 shirts as a standard for a while now and my customers love them!

Personally I think that's a fair description.

the 64000 is the only one in Softyle and it's a womans fitted t. basically the question was regarding quality and Gildan is tops in my opinion.

Sorry about that,

Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds like they get pretty mixed reviews. I think I'll just order some samples and check them out first. I just thought they might be an alternative to the heavier, and "baggy", 5000's which are nevertheless great shirts. Why do regular AAs have to be so pricey..in Canada anyways.

I've used the Softstyle in the past with no complaints but my current supplier carried the bella instead. I'm delivering my first order of Bella tomorrow so I'm curious to see the customers reaction. The quality on those are also very good as AdVanceNetworks pointed out.

The 64000L is the ladies. 64000 is men. Only 4.8 oz. so it will be much lighter. I bought some just to test them out. I like them for some things, but I still use the 2000 and 5000 shirts for most things.
