Discuss the wholesale blanks industry: Factory direct, custom labels. You can also use this forum to locate a wide variety of wholesale products including t-shirts, hoodies, mousepads, coffee mugs and other imprintable products.
Does anyone have a definitive list of companies that manufacture environmentally friendly/non-sweatshop t-shirt blanks? I know a lot of companies have started offering 'organic' garments to their catalogs but some of them are sweatshop offenders (like Gildan).

I don't have a definitive list, but other than the obvious companies to check out (like American Apparel, Alternative Apparel, etc.) there was a label I haven't heard so much about at ISS in LB that I found kind of interesting: GreyGoods They're split into two lines - Grey Goods for regular product and Green Goods for their environmentally friendly line.

I wasn't aware Gildan were a "sweatshop offender" (certainly their website claims otherwise). I'd definitely be interested in reading that report so I can stay informed.

found this older article on companies that use (or have used) sweatshop labor. I may be wrong or completely misinformed but I do believe Gildan still uses sweatshop labor. they may have changed some of their business practices in compliance with labor violations but I think it still goes on.
