I am in need of American Made T Shirts. These are for Union workers. Have to be pocket T, around 6.1 oz, Safety Green and Safety Orange. Need a decent wholesale price. Want a TRUE American made shirt with American Made products. Can anyone point me in good direction? Also... does anyone know where I can find American made Ringspun T shirt material, to make our own shirts????? TIA!!! Linda

Hi Linda, we're new to the forum but with precious info to share about American- and Union-made.

I did some investigatory phone calling about Bayside and could not verify the union, thereby making me suspicious.

However, I did find a verifiable union-manufacturing company using 100% American-made components and they're not as expensive as you might think, but as far as I know, there is a 100 min. order or 7% upcharge for smaller orders (not bad, IMHO).

Check out Lifewear Inc. for Unite-Here! union sewers #1148, Made in Pennsylvania of 100% American-made component shirts & sweatshirts.

And, they have Orange, and Neon lime, like you'd wanted.

Maybe not widely known, but http://www.RoyalApparel.net makes their organic shirts completely in America. Their non-organic shirts are, I was told by phone, mostly made in the U.S. They are not union but do offer their employees 401K, med'l, dental, vacation.

They ship via UPS.

They have a nice selection of colors for many of their styles, and seem to do a lot of hip, a lot for baby, a lot for women, and a lot of ribbed, but also better material (not skimpy lightweight) and better value, than American Apparel.
