I need a T-shirt for both men and women. What brand do you think is the best quality, does well in the wash, and gives the best fit/ Does anyone recommend buying unisex T-shirts? Or is it better to buy T-shirts that are gender specific?

And yes, if selling to women I definitely recommend a women's shirt.

If you are looking for a basic unisex t I would recommend the Anvil 979 or the Gildan 2000

I liked Tresics for women's Ts because they were cheapest, fashionable because of the thin figure hugging cut and longer length, and had a huge choice of colors and small minimum quantities. Next Level Apparel was also great for figure hugging, longer-length women's Ts. Optima was my men's T choice. They use the same specs as American Apparel but they are cheaper and shrink less. For a good heavy weight boxy men's shirt, I'd go with Alstyle Apparel's AAA brand. Very good quality. and
