Default 5.6 oz vs 6.0 tee shirts?

Can anyone tell me the difference? Does one typically shrink less and is there a specific use for either (giveaway promos etc.)?

Thanks

I use the 6.1 oz. Gildan, 100% cotton, preshrunk. My customers like the thickness, and the fit covers many different body styles. Or I'll use whatever the customer prefers. Mike

I, too, am a huge fan of the Gildan 2000. It is my default shirt. I can definitely tell the difference between it and a 5.4. I always tell clients that if they want a thin lightweight shirt to go with the 5.4.

Still wondering why I haven't won a thing from Gildan. It's just about the only t-shirt I think I've printed in the last year. All I hear from people is, "Can I get a Jerzee tee?". Then I show them the Jerzee next to the Gildan and they go with the Gildan every time.

I am a little peeved at the grease spots that are starting to show up at random though. I always ordered an extra or two of every size, just in case.

i have found that the neck on gildan shirts are wider than I and some care for. other than that a good shirt and have heard that when ordering bulk they have little to no bad shirts.

They are both very good shirts. The trend, for the younger and middle aged folks is towards the thinner material. Us older guys still like the heavier material.

5.6 vs 6.0 seems like a small difference to me...but I always choose quality over quantity.

I would rather have 5 oz combed cotton over 7 oz of carded cotton.
